Dr. Wood received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of the New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine. He was honored with the Medical Intern of the Year Award while serving in a medical internship position at Kennedy Memorial Hospitals-University Medical Center in Stratford, New Jersey. He subsequently completed his cardiology fellowship at Botsford General Hospital followed by a one year fellowship as a special trainee at the University of Michigan.

Dr. Wood has been practicing with Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates, P.C. since 1997. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology and currently serves as the Medical Director of the Coumadin Clinic at Cardiovascular Associates.

Dr. Wood lives in Marquette with his wife, Kaye and their two children, Savannah and Andre’. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking and cross-country skiing.
