Dr. Friesen is originally from Montgomery, Alabama. He relocated to Marquette to practice Internal Medicine in July of 1997 but left in June 2000 to pursue training in Cardiology. He earned his medical degree at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in Little Rock, Arkansas, in June 1997. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Aurora-Sinai Medical Center and St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in June 2003. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Friesen returned to Marquette to practice Cardiology.
Dr. Friesen is board certified in Cardiology and has been practicing with Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates, P.C. since July of 2003.
Dr. Friesen lives in Marquette with his wife, Jeanne, and three sons. In his free time Dr. Friesen enjoys outdoor activities.
