Originally from Carney-Nadeau, Dr. Jean attended Michigan Technological University. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University where he received a Resident’s Teaching Award. He completed his fellowship in general and interventional cardiology while attending the University of Wisconsin Medical School (MCC).

Dr. Jean is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Interventional Cardiology. He has been with Upper Michigan Cardiovascular Associates, P.C. since 1993 and was the Chief of Staff at Marquette General Hospital for a two-year term which began in 2003.

Dr. Jean lives in Marquette with his wife, Deborah, and son, Ben. He enjoys many of the outdoor activities that living in the Upper Peninsula has to offer including hunting, golf and basketball.
